Retreats in Daily Life – During this time of self-isolation, it is still possible to make a Retreat in Daily Life. Meetings with retreat companions are being offered via various online platforms such as Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime as well as by telephone. The retreats entail praying privately each day for a period of time, plus regular meetings with a trained prayer companion. They are rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola – a series of Scripture-based, Christ-centred meditations and contemplations which help us to explore our felt experiences both during and after prayer, so that we can learn how to discern and know God’s action in our lives. For further information please visit the Manresa Link website https://www.manresalink.org.uk. If you would like to make a retreat at this time, please email email@example.com and specify what platform(s) you are able to use.
PARISH PRAYER MEETING – The Ignatian prayer meeting has re-started using Zoom. We meet at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of the month and the meeting usually lasts about 1 hr. All are welcome. If you would like to join us please contact Sue McDermott, 07450 656 757 – firstname.lastname@example.org or Alice Grennan, 07845 706362 - email@example.com. PRAYING THE ROSARY AT HOME Do you struggle to pray the rosary at home? Perhaps we can help. On Sunday mornings at 9.00am (for a 9.15am start) Alice and Shaun Grennan extend a warm welcome to any parishioners who would like to accompany them in praying the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary for the needs of our parish and of our world. This is via ‘Zoom’ which is an online meeting platform that can be downloaded and accessed on a smart phone, tablet, or computer. If you would like to receive an invitation to join us for this, then please email Alice at Alice.firstname.lastname@example.org If you have never used Zoom before, please do not be discouraged, it is very straightforward. Just give Alice a call on 07845706362 and she will be more than happy to help/advise.
